San Antonio has the Tower of life. For Now.. but it wouldn't hurt to get another landmark building.

For sure. The Tower of Life to it's roof (not including to the spire point) is only about 350 maybe at the most. it's outlook compare to the heights when it was built in 1928 is so much out of date from todays average highly populated cities buildings.
We need something to spark our city because other cities are getting million dollar stadiums and movig forward in city growth while san antonio moves in the wrong (not bad ) direction. I just wannasee my city blossom.

On this 25 story high rise, thats moving in the right direction. hopefully it gets built as it is and doesn't get "grand hyatted" on us. The rendering kinda reminds me of the original rendering of the Grand Hyatt before it got shoet and fat!!

It's a start. That would easily make it the tallest residential building in downtown.

Well the tower has been approved, so I guess it is just waiting for the right moment? Financial issues?

Urbanism doesn't begin and end with flashy towers. Stuff like this is just as important, yet hardly ever discussed here.

I totally agree; making downtown an enjoyable place with diverse experiences for locals should be emphasized. Conversations about disneyification and artificial design, especially when it comes to the Alamo and Riverwalk, need to take place also.
