NASHVILLE | 1200 Broadway | FT | 27 FLOORS

Another high-rise has been announced for downtown Nashville, and this one will take the place of the current Nelson Mazda, the only urban-like dealership in the core. This is a very prominent location right by I-65 downtown and Broadway, so it'll be a very high traffic site.

The developer, based in Austin, has very close business ties with Whole Foods and that company has been actively searching for a downtown or midtown site for a few years now.

Design change and minor adjustments

Some minor adjustments have been made to this proposal at 12th Avenue North & Broadway on the western edge of downtown Nashville/north Gulch. The number of floors has dropped by 1 to 26, apartments down from 362 to 315, replacing 2 floors with 65k sq ft of office space atop a full-scale, 41k sq ft Whole Foods Market.

Topped Out

Name change is 1200 Broadway, but also it has topped out as out the last few weeks.

Viewed from the northeast on the Church Street viaduct. Side not, so many cranes in such a small vantage point. Nashville Yards is to the left and behind the camera is where Amazon's first tower is going.

A rendering, however this shows the building in the context of the city.

Another view from about two weeks ago, looking west toward the Gulch and Midtown. The 1200 Broadway is the prominent building in the center of the photo.

The building is nearing completion and may be opened in a month or so.

We're getting close to completion on the exterior of the tower. It looks pretty good and different from several of the more recent developments in the urban core.

An interesting picture from the Tennessean a month ago. The buildings from near to far are the 1200 Broadway, the Grand Hyatt in Nashville Yards and the 34 story 'Place' Apartments in the 5th and Broad development downtown.

I don't remember what the article was about. I posted it as just a nice picture, not a political comment.

Amazing what these towers replaced....an Oldsmobile/Nissan Dealership, Lifeway Christian Bookstore and the old Nashville Convention Center. Wowed by Nashville's transformation. I moved to Memphis 20 years ago, right at the time the boom began.

That print needs to change and say:
