I see a scenario where Claridge and Andlauer buy into this and connect the project to the arena. Shovel Ready investment opportunity to add fast revenue generation to the project, right across the street.

Is it wrong that I would prefer Claridge own this over any of the last three owners?

Seems like they are in the process of redesigning/restyling the site from interrent q3 report. “The site plan application was approved by Ottawa City Council in July 2020 and the final site plan agreement is currently ongoing. The approved site plan application allows for 1,241 residential suites and 511,608 sq ft of commercial space. The REIT continues to work with its partner and external consultants to develop detailed design plans in order to deliver an offering that reflects not only the current needs of the market but also incorporates concepts and technologies to ensure its continued relevance as rental housing needs continue to evolve. Management continues to monitor, and is encouraged by, the redevelopment progress in the broader LeBreton Flats area.”

I suspect the commercial tower will be replaced with a residential tower, and they will drop the height of all three towers because Ottawa.

Developers in Ottawa don't know what a 'promise' is. 90% of the time they fall back to the Roderick Lahey Sketchupchitecture CharcWhite Discount Design Mill.
