I had some business downtown this morning so I drove down 281 while the sun was rising in the East. It was so cool that the sun disappeared for a couple of seconds while I drove past these buildings. The canyon effect will only get better when the W finally goes up.

I was at the Pearl over the weekend and walked by these; I think they're going to be a fantastic addition to the area. The street interaction, particularly on Pearl Parkway, is going to make a huge impact.

We may not have the market/industries for 50 floor skyscrapers, but I'd be happy if we covered the urban core with dense, 5 to 15 floor developments like these.

Driving by this on 281 heading into DT, this is starting to look pretty impressive. The massing is starting to affect the aesthetic.

Can't wait until they start finishing out. It is making the 281 corridor into DT a most interesting drive.

Imagine that drive in after the W Hotel is built, Jefferson Bank HQ and the 815 E. Ashby development where the correct storage facility is.

I knew I was forgetting something. Yeah, another 12 story building a couple blocks away will definitely add to the aesthetics of the drive in.

Found this time lapse video of the construction site on the Joeris youtube page. There's some other videos of this site as well. Someone feel free to post the actual video on here for simpler viewing since I don't know how to post the entire video on the forum, or perhaps it's not working properly.

I wish there was a like button as well.

I was down there Friday night servicing an elevator across the street and can't get over the changes coming to Broadway. It is very exciting. I hope and wonder if they will slowly be able to move/relocate or remove some of the power lines as they slowly develop further down the road as well.
