I may have missed it, though I read it twice, I never saw a groundbreaking date for Eviva.

The new signs at the site say "early 2018" so they must be planning to start ASAP.

Considering the lot was just re-striped, apparently the owner does have a friend in the paint industry

I heard rumblings that it would break ground next June... but nothing official has been announced.

In order to deliver in "Early 2018", I agree that they would need to break ground yesterday.

The next Midtown DRC Meeting is scheduled for December 13th. Maybe they will have more information to share at that time? (assuming they are on the agenda)

Their land Dev permit is still in the system. They just cancelled the building permit which makes sense with a redesigned building

Why would they put the fence up so early if they don't break ground until next summer?

No way to build a 32 story tower in 7 months except if out of cardboard

Not development related, but Princi Italia soon to close. Figured this was relevant to our recent conversation about restaurants/retail not making it in the 12th and Midtown buildings.

Eviva

I'd be extremely surprised if they put up a fence now and plan to wait to break ground until June. I suspect groundbreaking will occur before the end of January.

Somewhat related, but the signs advertising for Pho King at Plaza Midtown have been taken down. Not sure if deal fell through.

Eviva blowing a lot of air. As this supposedly big announcement last Friday didn't reveal anything.

The Drew Eckl Farnham Facebook page has a video stating they'll officially be operating out of their new Downtown ATL digs this coming Friday, November 18th (after "decades" at 4 story 880 West Peachtree St).

Hartsfield Jackson - Palm Trees???

I flew in today from Washington DC and while leaving the South Parking Garage noticed they have planted palm trees. Is this new?

StockYards at Midtown West - New Renderings

Stockyards Atlanta breathes new life into one of the last remaining historic buildings in the dynamic West Midtown district. When complete in 2016, the redevelopment of the early 1900's warehouse will offer 135,000 square feet of office and retail space along with a 400 space parking structure.

This will probably be a different looking crane than what is typical. I forgot what type it is called.

They've been there for maybe a year now (whenever they finished re-doing the ramps) and I roll my eyes every time I see them.

I believe these are old renderings- the summary noted the project as being completed in 2016 when the project just started in 2016. Stockyard and Westbridge's websites show a different vision (a more contextually sensitive design IMO). (see below)

So when is Star Metals actually going to break ground? It all sounds great, but so far nothing on when it may start or when they may file permits.
