Lake Louise - Mountains, plains, Calgary and an S2000

1000km road trip top down in the S2000. A huge thank you to Fairmont Hotels and Resorts for giving us a weekend to remember. Their hospitality and thoughtfulness was incredible. Be sure to go visit Banff Springs, the Chateau or Jasper Park Lodge.

You should thank your money for "a room with a view" unless it's a free upgrade.

Beautiful! Went to Banff in '99 or 2000 and stayed at the Banff Springs Hotel. Will never forget it.

Great pictures! When were these taken?

Do people ever go onto the tops of any of those mountains?

9 days ago. Fall in AB comes much earlier than many places.

Certainly they do, climbing and hiking are very popular.

Fascinating mountain scenery!

Awesome pictures about a wonderful place. Beautiful colours in the lakes and mountains.

I have liked a lot those snowy mountains and the Fairmont Hotel.

Thanks for sharing.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

People can get up to the tops of those mountains? I'm genuinely skeptical. I live in Delaware; we don't have mountains!

Is the snow on top of the mountains fresh? Do you know when the first snow typically is?

They are certainly climbed/hiked.

Many have glaciers and snow much of the year. Typically first snows are late sept/early oct.
