Shigeru Ban's bridge

It is 7.5 ton structure, made of 281 cardboard tubes, each of which measure 4 inches across and 0,47 inches thick was tested by using balloons filled with 1,5 tons of water.
The bridge, which opened on July 30, will remain up for a total of six weeks before it is dismantled in time for the start of France's rainy season.
It was designed by the Shigeru Ban with the help of 24 architecture students from France and three japanese students.
I think it is cool. What do u think?

That's awesome. Right next to what appears to be the Pont Du Gard aqueduct, also.

Very architecture student-looking. Great design though, indenious idea. I think they need to repeat the design in, say, wood, and keep it there permanently.

Would it be not more sensitive to build a permanent bridge there?

Further the bridge is bad for bycyclre riders and persons in wheel chairs.
