SA - Rivercenter Mall to add Lucky Strike, Capital Grille, Oceanaire and more

New information on the redevelopment of Rivercenter Mall.

The redevelopment of Rivercenter Mall will work in three phases. Phase I calls for exterior changes/upgrades, integration of several five star restaurants such as: Capital Grille, Oceanaire, and Cantina Laredo as well as the addition of Lucky Strike Lanes. Phase II will bring the Joske’s building back to its original form by uncovering the windows and ornate brick front. Phase III will bring a luxury hotel to replace the parking garage on Commerce Street and expand the parking structure on Crockett Street.

Apparently the owner of Rivercenter Mal who is over seeing the redevelopment is going after Ritz Carlton.

Looks nice... Hopefully the Lucky Strike will start drawing more locals downtown and warm them up to the idea of living closer in. I used to live in DC and there was a lucky strike a few blocks away from my apartment - it was always a fun place to start a Fri or Saturday night.

What's with the marlin on the building? Isn't Lucky Strike a bowling alley?

By the way, at first I thought the mall was getting a new cigarette store.

Oceanaire is very high end, the one in Dallas is also located in a mall, the Galleria Dallas Westin. They have an awesome oyster selection from all over the country.

I saw a sin set up in front of the Rivercenter Mall this morning, I didn't have a chance to read it, has anyone seen it or read it?

Same for the Houston Galleria. Oceanaire is very, very upscale. I might hit up the place on my last night in Houston...
