Alsop's work is usually too agressive for me. I would be able to stomach it more if he toned down his colors.

I actually really like the smaller tower, providing he dropped the tutu.

But this Yonkers design is shite. It looks like it'll be dated before it even completes construction. But who knows.... it might make for a nice kitsch landmark.... for someone...

i love his sharp center for design in toronto:

This isn't a flop. It's like he's a fish that intentionally jumped out of a stream to fall down a steep bank to where there is no way to get back to the water. This building is the ANTICHRIST!!! lol jk.

This thread must be dead, like this proposal, hopefully, is. I know the old New York Central power plant has seen better days, but to say that this thing, whatever the hell it is, is an architectural menace to the plant, doesn't even touch, let alone, scratch the surface. This proposal is #@%&ed the #@%& up!!!!

Can't more people think up better ways of re-using old buildings? It's run-down, yes, but there is still beauty and character in it.
