New York | Developments UPSTATE

(Please note that New York City's developments can be found here, Buffalo's here, and Ithaca's here.)

Upstate New York has many small cities! Some of these include:

Binghamton

Rochester

Utica

Jamestown

Schenectady

Watertown

Corning

Saratoga Springs

Oneonta

Troy

Albany

and Syracuse

(And all the other cities in New York!)

Not actually current development news, but more a look at some of the smaller cities in New York. First up is Utica. Here's a link to some pics I took on a visit back in 2009:

And a Wiki article:

Not to be picky, but there are better pics for Syracuse, Saratoga Springs and Jamestown. Here's a picture of the Syracuse skyline: http://www.onondagacountyparks.com/a...es/photo12.jpg

Anywho, here is an on going thread about construction in the Syracuse area: http://www.city-data.com/forum/syrac...on-update.html

Here's a photo album of downtown Binghamton from 2005. Not great pics, and they're old, but you get the idea.

Some not so good news for the City of Elmira, NY. Looks like they might have to close their downtown arena.

NFNY
Multiple properties located near Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino have been targeted by the city of Niagara Falls for redevelopment purposes.
Niagara Falls is seeking proposals for the parcels — located at Niagara and Seventh streets and just across from the casino campus. The properties include three early 1900s-era Niagara Street buildings that not only housed apartments but also some small retail tenants like a now-closed convenience store.
