here is the open space to the east of the building... I'm glad this is just a temporary version - it doesn't inspire enthusiasm. hopefully will make us appreciate the real thing that much more

Looks like a dumping site for unwanted fake grass lawns.

agree that the "temporary park" looks terrible...does anyone know why it's "temporary"? What is the long-range plan?

Hopefully the ugly fake grass is a strategy to let the developers build whatever they want to build, ASAP.

a look at what I suppose is the final product of the building on the Howard St side. the entrance area wall still sort of baffles me. looks like something a 10-year-old would have on their wall. and still as if something else would be done with it. I don't get it.

Imo, the building is inferior in a multitude of ways.

Wasn't it originally planned to be an interactive art piece/digital element?

The whole "wider at the top than at the bottom with side sloping outward as it goes higher" concept doesn't appeal to me and seems an architectural conceipt. I like the huge balconies though they seem to waste otherwise rentable space (that's the owner's problem, not mine).

a bit of an indication how nice it will be to have the open space around Park Tower, even if it's kind of lame for now. this is on the north side

PS, how many people remember when this was a freeway on-ramp and the only way to cross the street was via a fancy pedestrian overpass
