The City of Dieppe is apparently purchasing residential properties on the block bounded by Champlain/du Marche/Gauvin & College to make the land available to developers in order to facilitate expedited expansion of their downtown core (T&T).

I noticed this morning that there was some activity on the empty lot near 246 Acadie avenue in Dieppe, has anyone heard what is going on there?

The house immediately North was just demolished last week and some heavy equipment was still there this weekend.

Not sure if it's been posted but I've heard rumors that Tony's is opening a 2nd location near the Wyngate.

The old pizza delight building and the corn crib behind it are now listed as "sold" (Closed on the same day) on the service NB website. Any rumors about what the upcoming project might be for that land?

Colliers posted on FB that a piece of land on Marguerite Street behind Xtreme Powder Coating has been sold in Dieppe.

Looks to me like an apartment could be built there.

Here's the information on SNB

According to the T&T, a location in the Vimsoft building on Rue du Marche is confirmed.

Retail Talk & Share photo

In addition, as shown, they also plan to open a restaurant in the same building, in addition to the bakery.

This will be an excellent location, in the downtown core of Dieppe, across from the WinGate Hotel, and with reasonable parking.

Construction fencing along Champlain across the street from Dominos Pizza. Any ideas?

Was wondering the same thing, I saw that the other day. Regardless of what it is, it will be nice to have some more infill along that stretch of Champlain.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's an apartment building. It's an excellent location, maybe they'll do ground floor commercial with residential above. There are still a lot of older houses along Champlain, so infilling with increased density is good for the city.
