Beautiful! This charming little city is where my love of urban density was born over 15 years ago now!

This thread never stops being great !
Lots of gorgeous pics. Salzburg seems to get it all : dramatic landscape features, great architecture, and more than decent urban environment.
I'll visit for sure.

Love the pics! You would think that Salzburg, with the Sound of Music and Mozart cliches, would be kinda overrated, but it really is a fantastic city. Gorgeous city and surroundings; one of the best small cities in that part of Europe.

Also, Austrian cities generally are so damn beautiful compared to cities in the other Germanic countries. Graz and Innsbruck are almost as beautiful, and really every Austrian city, even Linz, looks pretty good.

^^That Sounds of Music was a godawful movie and most Austrians will just roll their eyes if you even mention it.

Wonderful photos! I took a day trip there when I was in Vienna. I wish I could have spent more time in the City. I'll admit I had to watch the Sound Of Music when I got back to the States. ;-)
