At least that is how I see it looking at this rendering:https://therivardreport.com/frost-ba...y-san-antonio/

(Sorry for the link, but I'm not adept at posting pics here.)
I was looking at the web cam today and noticed th second floor seems to have two different heights. Is that correct? The right side, looking toward the hospital, seems slightly taller than the left.

It may be the angle. Here is another pic I'm to which I'm comparing:

Use the current Frost building for orientation.

I was wondering if anything about the residential development that is involved with the property switches that came along with this Frost Bank deal have been discussed at all? Or can that not move forward until the new tower is complete?

Also, I'm wondering when that parking lot on the other side of the park in front of the new tower will be developed. That is precious land to just be used as a surface parking lot.

The tower next to San Fernando is currently city offices and (except for Council Chambers on the first floor) will be a large part of the residential development in the PPP. But that construction cannot even start until the city offices are vacated, which can't happen until the new Frost Tower is finished AND the old Frost Tower is renovated. So maybe 3-4 years out?

I didn't know they were renovating the old Frost Tower. Is this going a whole thing (interior and exterior) or only office areas and space?

Weston owns several lots in the vicinity which he has plans to develop. I know he recently (like a year ago) bought the Sunshine Laundry property on Flores across from Fox Tech, for example. I know he also owns other buildings and lots as a result of the deal with Frost and the city, which he intends to develop, but I can't remember specifically what and where, beside the old Frost building in Main Plaza. Oh, I remember he got the San Fernando Gym property on Travis between Cameron and Santa Rosa. I sincerely hope he buys those suburban-style apartment complexes on Santa Rosa and knocks 'em down.

Here is a pretty good rundown of how things are going to develop over the next few years with the PPP:

https://www.sacurrent.com/the-daily/...ando-cathedral

It'll be really interesting to see what happens when all the office space the city is currently leasing around downtown jumps on the market. A lot of the real estate probably needs a pretty thorough refresh. Unfortunately it seems like they are doing a small reno on the current Frost Tower (~$7M). However, having been in a lot of city offices it will be a huge improvement over some of their current spaces.

I've been checking out the webcam daily. It's interesting to see some of the columns going up at the angle in the shape of the building. I look forward to seeing it when they get 3 or 4 stories high.

As we wait for the building to rise, here's a question for you engineers.

If the outer columns all continue going up at a slight angle in the same direction around the building, how will that affect possible torque as the building reaches 30 floors? I realize there's a core that's perfectly vertical, and the floorplates laterally connect all the columns to help distribute the force, but it makes me wonder.

I honestly don't know what you're seeing. The pillars look straight to me.
