Will a drop tower ride on this skyscraper open the door to a roller coaster on top of a future Manhattan supertall skyscraper with an observation deck. Also, could a future Manhattan supertall with an observation deck include a swing ride at the top similar to the WindSeeker at Cedar Fair parks or the SkyScreamer at Six Flags parks.

What problem would be seen with a swing ride or roller coaster on top of a Manhattan skyscraper as part of an observation deck experience that would not be seen with a drop tower ride.

I'm sure there is someone that would care to talk to you about this. I don't know where, but they must exist.

This is the Vancouver Lookout Tower at Harbor Center in Vancouver, British Columbia. This tower is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Vancouver.

I wonder if this starts a trend of Times Square-area hotels with built-in attractions. Could be interesting.

Hopefully not. NYC doesn’t need a bunch of goofy looking amusement park style buildings.

That trend started already. There's the TXTS bleachers and the new TSX Tower has a stage that opens to the public. The redesigned 1 Times Square will have an observation deck and other features. It's already a place where tourists can go to experience things. 740 Eighth Ave takes things up to the top of the tower and charges for the experience. It's more of a natural progression.

The city is already forward thinking on that front. Times Square is exactly the place for this type of thing. I think about that lady who spoke about a casino in Times Square as if it were beneath TS to have such a thing. Nonsense lady! Take a step into Times Square! But beyond that, the city is looking to expand smaller style amusements across New York City. It's the Big Apple, and people who are annoyed by such things should move to a proper small town. But the city's zoning is already moving forward.

Do you think a drop tower ride on this skyscraper open the door to a roller coaster on top of a future Manhattan supertall skyscraper with an observation deck. Also, could a future Manhattan supertall with an observation deck include a swing ride at the top similar to the WindSeeker at Cedar Fair parks or the SkyScreamer at Six Flags parks. You are probably the one most qualified to answer this question.

I think zoning is what opens up future possibilities on what can be built, as well as location. Beyond that, it's up to developers to decide on what they think the best use of their property would be.

Certainly hope to see a future supertall in Manhattan with an observation deck at the top includes a roller coaster or swing ride.
