Not a showstopper, but I love to see more density in this area of Osborne!

That's fast - I could have sworn there were land for sale signs on that property less than a couple weeks ago?

Just three or four days ago the sign was there. The hole has been there for at least a year, though.

The developer has owned the land for a long while, this has been in the works for a couple years.

Also good to see a medium density building in the village be apartments. While most of the towers and conversions in downtown and Exchange have been apartments lately, the village has been almost completely condos aside from Conrad and Dexter House.

Noticed a soil tote and some new groundwater monitoring wells in the Osborne right-of-way at the abandoned lot that is just south of the transit garage. Must have been some sort of environmental monitoring. Would be nice to see another mixed use building like the Precast one going up to the north beside Chaeban in that spot.

The entire block on the west side of Osborne containing Gags Unlimited and the old antique store just sold: 197 – 213 Osborne St.

My hope: raze it and build a big mixed use building, none of what's there has much value IMO.

That's probably what's going to happen, but the downside of that is that lots of small businesses (like the ones pictured there) cannot afford the higher rent in new developments. The last thing we want is a bank or something lame taking the whole main floor.

But there isn't exactly a shortage of older, reasonably priced commercial space in that neck of the woods, is there?!

Launch Coworking opened a third location today at 130 Scott Street. Bit of an odd location being a little off the strip, but good addition to the area.

I always thought that was an apartment building/condo. I would never have guessed it was commercial.

Will they be adding any signage?

(Also, what's the deal with that block and the sidewalk that veers off from what appears to be a clear line under the trees?)

City's website says 130 Scott is zoned Residential. 120 Scott next door is mixed use. A typo by Launch maybe?
