I took another rip last night and the main through road southbound at TCH is still closed. WTF. You can still get to the south leg using the exit lane but there is a 60kph speed zone.

Also what does "Exit OC" mean? This is Highway 11 so different numbering than TCH which now uses KM's from the Manitoba boundary.

Not a chance. It's probably just an exit numbering scheme where the western start of the ring road is kilometre zero, and each separate ramp gets a different letter. So you have 0A, 0B, 0C, etc.

The TCH part of the Bypass from Balgonie to Pinkie Rd (highway 11/TCH mega-interchange west of Regina) has exit numbering based on KM from Manitoba. The existing Highway 11 has exits numbered A,B,C starting at Regina toward Saskatoon. The new stretch of 11 from Condie to Pinkie interchange comprising the west leg of the Regina Bypass has at least 6 exits, so I do not know how they arrive at C.

There are no traffic lights or speed zones. Very little cross traffic is expected.
The Armour Road At-Grade crossing will be quite busy. I drive it almost everyday in the spring and summer and there is always tons of traffic on Armour Road. There are lots of people going to and from Sherwood Forest (Commuting, golf, pool, ...) and Armour Road is by far the most used route.

I'm not looking forward to crossing the By-Pass at grade daily.

Interchange at km 0 of the bypass, exit C.

I assume it is planned to have a complete outer ring road at some point?

Did we get a nice project for $1.8 billion? Sure

Did we need this nice project for $1.8 billion? Not a chance

Sad to see so many people on here that are apparently proponents of urban development and densification acting as if this was a good investment. There was absolutely zero necessity for a project of this scale, and a nice finishing project will not change my mind. This project has terrible long-term social and economic implications for the city. This will only aid the development of the far out suburbs, pushing investment away from core areas. Really wish that we could've seen this massive amount of money going to something that was actually needed.

I was on the Hill Ave interchange yesterday. It is literally in the middle of nowhere. It does not even connect to Hill Ave or the Airport. Could have spent that money on Armour Rd.

There is a route planned to go from Tower Rd, and TCH to the new Highway 11 interchange near Condie. You can see in the Condie interchange that it is designed to add the NE leg of the Bypass.

Thanks.

Just for my info, where exactly is that photo taken? Trying to parse it out with the maps available on the bypass website. But can't make sense of it.

For the $1.2 billion the capital construction cost (the other $600 million is for future maintenance) we could have gotten a Calgary style LRT from the new Costco to the stadium via downtown, widen the Arcola bridge, and do a full interchange at 9th Avenue N/Pasqua.

Every sane person would choose those over the Bypass.

Heading south at blue circle. the Pinkie interchange is not fully illustrated here. Hill Ave Interchange shown where it says "Sherwood No. 159".

The problem is, we don't have sane people running this province, just people who are looking to get their friends in the trucking and construction industries rich at the cost of current and future Saskatchewan taxpayers. But apparently that's off-topic and we can only discuss all the good things about this, save for us hurting someone's feelings.

Talk about stupidity. The intersection at the Bypass and TCH West is so over engineered it is laughable. The whole project is reminiscent of 60's-70's Montreal infrastructure projects.
Great analogy. Would work perfectly if we actually put that $150M roof on Mosaic Stadium.

I agree that intersection was not a good decision.

Help get the Bypass on Google Maps:

To report a missing road
  • Make sure you have the latest version of the Google Maps app.
  • Go to the location where the missing road should appear.
  • Open the Menu and tap Send Feedback.
  • Select Report a Missing Road.
  • Tap the location of the missing road.
  • Add the name of the road and any additional information.

Thanks for all the info. Curious, what numbers are shown for the exits at the other interchange locations. The next interchange either direction should have the end mileage for the entire bypass if the numbering was done properly. It should jump from 0 to like 60 or something.

Yes for the blue and green sections. the yellow section uses Hwy 11 numbering. For example White City is Exit 223 and Hwy 6 is 247.

Ring Road is now a complete ring. It connects to the bypass at the Trans-Canada highway interchange and again at the 9th Ave N Interchange (although, there are 4 sets of lights starting a Lewvan)
