The Sterling Bank is almost finished out too. I'm going to be downtown tomorrow taking pictures of it, hopefully the weather cooperates. The facade looks different in the main corner around the garage, it isn't as noticeable as it once was. Hopefully I can also catch a night shot to see what the lighting is like.

And as you can see in this pic (posted by J.Dskyhigh) it already is getting glass put up only two days after I took my pics. The commerce st. garage wall is also missing the metal panels but other than that, it looks done.

If SA could eat up most of the remaining downtown surface parking with this type of residential, it wouldn't really matter how tall (or short) the rest of the skyline is, we'd have ourselves a mini-Paris.

I totally agree. I want more things like this downtown, it adds character. Plus, it's amazingly gorgeous.

If the Piazza San Lorenzo gets built, it would be like icing on the cake.

Really nice. 200 or so residents plus? Not too bad.

I saw that the IHOP Cafe is going to be on the Houston St. side of Vistana. Good for Houston St.

now if we could just get Alteza opened, we would bookend downtown with an extra 500 residents or so (300 Vistana, 200 Alteza) and that doesn't even count the potential from the units at Vidorra, which might add another 150 folks to the fray.

Not huge news, mostly an update, but Subway is leasing space in Vistana, suite 128. Its the corner by the entrance facing Santa Rosa. It still allows over 13K contiguous sq. ft for another larger tenant (if necessary.)

I think this is a good sign for our local economy; I'm beginning to see small retail pop up at different centers. The Ridge (1604/Lockhill) is almost 100%, Alon Town Center has gained a couple more tenants in the past couple of months and has a few "coming soon" signs, Quarry Village has Urban Taco coming soon and has added a few others since S&H left. It shouldn't be long before we see some more things pop up around DT.
