I don't have to guess. I saw the HDRC agenda item a few months back.

Then you saw more detailed information than was in that article. Thanks for sharing.

My guess is that you're right, but we shall see.
The article isn’t well written, but, there is a park already there and Weston Urban is redeveloping it and has plans to add restaurant space to it, plus other amenities.

If the Drury is 278 feet to the roof, I'm gonna say the old Frost building and the old Marriott are both shorter than 300 feet.

Don't forget differences in height of different geography.

Thanks for pointing that out. The Marriott is actually on higher ground, and the Drury, being by the river, is on the lowest ground.

There's also some perspective here that will make the buildings in the background appear taller even if they aren't. Obviously, the Tower of the Americas and Tower Life Buildings are taller, but the Alamodome certainly isn't, even though it's roof appears over the roof of the Frost Bank Tower.

The heights I have for those buildings are:

Tower Life Building - 401 feet
Nix Professional Building - 307 feet
Drury Plaza Hotel - 291 feet - sign - 320 feet - mast - 357 feet
Frost Bank Tower - 277 feet
Marriott Riverwalk - 271 feet

Thanks, Kevin. Those seem like accurate heights.

Actually, according to Emporis, the Alamodome towers are 300 feet. I don't know if it's accurate, but here it is.

The underside of the Canopy boom is approx 306ft.

I don’t know the source of Drury heights shown, but crane drawing relative to buildings isn’t exactly to scale.

^^ Judging by that, it seems that 291' is pretty accurate.

Idk if anyone has been paying attention to the frost webcam recently, but it looks like they got some of those glass panels on the parking garage lit up now (sorry for the quality, this is from a screenshot of the webcam)

Must you always be a miserable naysayer? All I ever see out you is negative comments against other posters.

Try to be happy every once in a while, and learn to scroll past comments you don't like.

And for Pete's sake, quit with all the negativity. Smile.

I'm assuming you're trying to be sarcastic...however i'm just updating everyone on the progress of the lighting situation at night of the garage which is attached to the frost tower...

Does anyone know if all the panels on the garage are supposed to be lit, or is it only a select few? So far they've only lit the same ones on the same side.

Edit: I checked the camera, they are the same panels from several months prior, never different.

Frost Tower Leasing Activity

I was recently browsing the Frost Tower website and noticed they had the leasing info displayed. The building seems to be filling up quite nicely and should be at 100% occupied before too long. I hope a restaurant or Tavern leases some space on the 24th floor. Cool views for sure!

Here's a snapshot of the leasing activity.
