Well, maybe some of us should think twice about some of the things we post on here. Myself included. Now, as they say, let's get back to the topic at hand!

Fryguy, how you sometimes talk to people here looks alot more "poorly" on this forum than a few capital letters & a couple exclamation points.

I totally agree!

I'm whispering now, can you hear me????

Happy Holidays to all!!!

There's plans for retail.

"It will also have retail and dining space that fronts Villita Street and the River Walk."

Was wondering this myself. I haven't been able to dig up anything online. Did anyone attend the meeting?

Yeah, the vote was pushed for January before being rejected. Let's see what recommendations they can turnover in less than a month.

Updated renderings have been released in the HDRC meeting this week. Looks like it is going to be much shorter than announced. But still the height is nice.... But NO RETAIL ON ST. MARY'S.... the disrespect.

I'll post them later if no one is able to by the time I get home.

If it's this: https://sanantonio.legistar.com/Legi...tions=&Search=
then the height is 284'-2" which I think is good for that location since it's so close to the Tower Life. In another location I'd like it taller.

I get the conservative approach being so close to Tower Life, but I find it disappointing that the height has been reduced so much from the original plans.

That said, something is better than nothing and I still hope it gets approved.

That's the December version. The new version is here: https://sanantonio.legistar.com/Legi...6-F78FDBC46BEB

Height appears to be unchanged (still 24 stories), but the materials on the elevations have been tweaked to break up the mass a bit.

I like it. I don't love it. I wish there was retail at the garage St Mary's level. It does seem a little busy, design-wise, kind of wish it was more like the W in Austin. Just a cute little blue box.

BUT! I'm glad it will place more residents downtown and I think the height works for the area. It's a great little addition to our skyscraper proposals.
