The last one is eerie, but why do they call it the meteor?

The so called "Meteor" is 3 floors of concrete, steel, office furniture and other things compressed into 3 feet of thickness. i suppose just because it loks like a meteor.

Such a sad sight. I remember the Twin Tower's gothic base arches- they were one of my favorite parts of those buildings, so graceful. Sad to see them in such a state, dismembered like that. :cry

These pieces are such a beautiful and powerful reminder of the first WTC. I hope they are preserved and incorporated into the new memorials.

Excellent pictures. What do they plan on doing with them? Putting them inside the memorial? Putting them in one of the buildings?

I don't suppose they recovered pieces of aluminum that were once layered on top of the red-brown steel, right? It would have been nice if they restored them on the tridents at the Museum Pavilion.

2. Use a online translator to translate in each language you want. Ok, Xelebes, here is something in Portuguese you wanted.

Why not just start a thread on the WTC when they existed, rather than the building debris?
