Well we did it... We bought 1.4 acres of bare land on the south side of Kootenay lake (not on the lake though) just up from the Harrop ferry terminal. Bare land as of now and needs to be selectively cleared.. should have stellar lake and mountain views once it is opened up. I’ll head out there in the fall with my chainsaw and get that done, then get one of the locals with a dozer to run a driveway in and level a spot so that we can drop a trailer on it next year. Very excited to own a piece of one of the best places on earth

Thanks. We’re super stoked about it, just got back to Edmonton and already can’t wait to get back down there. Once we get the place set up as a vacation property we’ll get a garage package built so we can get hydro on site and work on getting a septic system built so that in 5-6 years we can start building our house. There are a few good timber frame builders in the area so we’ll look at going that route if the budget allows when it’s time.

Haven't been to the Kootenay's in a while, but when I was there had the time of my life! Can't wait to go back!
