I'm not sure what sadder ... seeing Winnipeg's mayor wearing ugly tractor green, or the fact that the busiest intersection in Saskatchewan includes a gas station.

who said it was the busiest intersection in Regina? It's not even close. Heck, it's not even the busiest downtown. Personally I think it was a poor choice of location. The only reason they decided to go there is because that's where most of the partying was done after the win

I am fairly knowlegable about Regina ... and I am fairly sure Albert Street is the largest north-south commercial corridore and Vic Ave is the largest east-west. So its not a reach to call that intersection the larest in Regina.. as far as the number of cars passing it in a day.

Oh course if you say there are others which are much bigger please share..

Lets put it this way... the mayor of Regina was oh so close to standing on this corner (even though the Bombers took the field with a raw rookie QB against the amazing Joesph.

Picture from danharperphoto.com

No comparison.

Please, from the majority of the posts you make, it doesn't seem like you know very much about Regina. Yeah, it's the longest commerical corridor, that doesn't mean it's the busiest.

there you go. From that map you can see that there are several intersections that have more AADT. For example, in the downtown alone, Vic Ave./Broad St., Broad St./Sask Dr., and Albert St./Sask Dr. And by the look of it, the busiest at-grade intersection is Pasqua Street + Ring Road at about 111,800 combined vehicles/day

There is a reason why Sam has that sheepish grin on his face, He's thinking; "Thank God I don't have to live in this hick town!"

Great pic and I do agree that they picked the wrong intersection. Katz should've been standing here........

Good stuff. And going west on Victoria Ave at the corner takes you right into a residential area which is likely why that intersection isn't one of the busiest.

I can assure you I know Regina fairly well, as I used to live there. I was there when they won the cup in 1989. I saw Devine spend the province into massive debt while building glass towers full of government workers, all in an attempt to suggest Regina was "open for business". You can't BS me when it comes to Regina.. I know exactly what Regina is about.

Even your map shows that Albert and Vic ave is the busiest intersection in downtown. It also shows Albert abd Vic are the busiest streets in town. Go figure.
