I find myself in the odd position of cheering for the Esks this Saturday.

It's like it was with Buck Pierce... people here loved the guy, but it got to a point where you heard an awful lot of people expressing concern at the possibility that he could die on the field. Especially with the massive blindside hits he was taking due to the porous offensive line the Bombers had back then. There was some relief when he retired even though he was obviously a great QB.

Nice to hear that The Beaches will be doing the Grey Cup warmup show this year... Their Thursday Night Football performance last season in Hamilton was easily the best of that series... Those ladies rock hard.

Congrats to Collaros on the great win and showing glimmers of how good he was 5 years ago in Hamilton. O'Shea better start him in the playoffs as he is far more efficient with the ball and a much better passer than Strev.

Great game for the Bombers. Grey Cup is on again.

I figured the Bombers would be going all in on Collaros... if he can last 3 games they have a decent shot at winning it all. I thought giving McGuire a shot at starting yesterday to give him a few reps (thereby avoiding a potential Dinwiddie '07 situation) and preserving Collaros for the playoffs would have been the right call, but they started Collaros and he emerged more or less unscathed apart from that nasty first quarter hit he took.

Anyway, Collaros looked really good in blue... his passes were a thing of beauty. Now we just need a little Eskie help to lock down that home playoff game...

Collaros scrambling and passing style reminds me of John Elway. Obviously his durability is not the same but he looked really sharp.

Collaros is a good scrambler, he evaded pressure very effectively yesterday. The best example was that amazing 4th quarter TD pass to Darvin Adams where he dodged a bunch of Stamps and backed up like 20 yards before finding Adams right at the sideline... anyone who missed it can check it out here

Well this Rider fan is very happy at last nights result!

But if Rider history rears its head, they'll crap the bed against the Esks tonight.

Yes they are. I'm watching the Riders poop the bed against the Esks right now.

Hmmm .... maybe it's a local thing here in Cowtown.
But I checked the schedule on TSN website and doesn't have any CFL either.

Current CFL game is on TSN 3 and TSN 5. Alberta is TSN 1. You need to get all five versions of TSN to see all games.

Thanks for the info.
That's weird the CFL wouldn't be on TSN 1.
I've never not seen them on ... till today.

I'm watching the replay now, that play was insane, like Flutie in his heyday.

Riders have clawed back and are in the lead... I know I'm hoping for a miracle here thinking that the Bombers might possibly finish in second, but Go Esks Go

Well they pulled it out. Damn, 2nd and 10 on their own 6 yard line and Cody cooly delivers a strike to get a first down. He's starting to make me believe.
