SA - Hemisfair Park Considered As Site for Future Performing Arts

http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/met...x.33ad7f5.html

The Express has an article detailing the future uses for the "visitors tax" that will be put to a vote next year in order to be extended. One of the options is a performing arts center being built in Hemisfair Park. What are your opinions on this? I think it's an idea location and possibly out of that we could see the ITC build a new building to house their museum.

because the majority of san antonioians want baseball or football teams. and if this would help them get one step closer then football fields and baseball fields it is.. and not a performing arts

Huh? The tax will be split up between different things. One thing we know for sure some of that money will be going to is the Spurs/at&t center the rest of the money will be left up to the county commissioners to decide. Which is why they formed this committees and will see/hear if money should go to them. Money may be spent on only two or three of them or all four which those being 1) Performing art center 2) Mission reach of the River 3) youth athletic fields with the aforementioned fourth (spurs). No money is going to anything related to the NFL or MLB.
