Looks like 13 floors on the webcam.

Hello? ... Is San Antonio home?

Yea, only 3 more floors!

I don't want this finished. There isn't much else going on.

Where is SA lately? This forum has been DEAD!

I'm here, not sure about the other guys.

Yeah, I still think it'll be a couple more months to top out; hopefully by then Indigo will be live, Neisner will be closer to opening, Tongs Thai will be open, Lone Star might get some dirt moving, and hopefully 1221 might be moving a bit as well. 411 Bowie (Marriott) has been seeing quite a bit of activity lately, and the CIA at Pearl is close to topping out too. Victoria Commons should also be nearing completion by that point.

I know what you mean though. We need something big (a parking lot destroyer) to tide us over until the new Public Safety HQ's and the Fed Courthouse break ground.

Oh and BTW, for all you Bird's Eye View browsers (on MSNmaps,) it has been updated recently and I think brings us to March of this year.

And to think it was only up to about the 3rd floor back in July when I was in town.

Update: Took these this afternoon, from the east side of the river. From what I can tell, there haven't been any floors added since the last photo update on 11/21.

I saw this the other day. Thought it would be much taller, but still fits the area nicely.

Weathers a little nasty, but if its ok tomorrow, I'll get some pics. 16th floor is completed though and is looking good.

Thanks, miaht82. Nice job. Looks like it has one really tall floor to go.
Is yellow the final color?

For a second, I thought it was, as most Embassy Suites around here are yellowish.
But it looks like it will have a Vistana-like color scheme, with a darker brick along the base. Although it could have a darker color scheme like the new Courtyard if the rendering is lighter than the actual colors.

Not quite yet. The crown is still getting worked on. I'll take photos later this week.

In related news:

John Besh's Lüke restaurant coming to San Antonio

It's been under some speculation, but now it's out in the open: Chef John Besh will open a branch of his brasserie, Lüke, in San Antonio.

It's going to be part of the Embassy Suites San Antonio Downtown-Riverwalk, 125 E. Houston St.

The property is expected to open this August. No details are available yet about the restaurant.

Right now, Lüke is an homage to the elegant Old World brasseries that settled in New Orleans. He combines classic French and German cooking techniques in dishes such as cassoulet, blanquette of veal cheeks, "rehschnitzel mit spätzle" (venison cutlets with small German dumplings that look like pasta), and moules et frites. The menu at his New Orleans restaurant changes with the availability of ingredients.

Besh, a tireless promoter of his native New Orleans, was runner-up a couple of years ago to become the next Iron Chef on a Food Network competition.

It's time again to kindly ask my SA compadres for some new photos. Anybody have one from a distance that shows the building in its surroundings?
