Exactly.,the massive columns trick the eye, the parking ramp is pretty normal, but those columns hold up a 1000+ tower, so they make the ramp look wimpy and thin.

I wish this tower got more love than the Trump. IMO this is the better design, remember, that is IMO.

Agreed, the front columns along Wacker are just incredible in scale. The recent photo by cbotnyse does a great job of highlighting this.
I always loved 77 West Wacker, one of my favorites, but this building will dominate it in every way being so close. These two, plus Leo Burnett will make for an awesome south river trio. I love this city!

I think that the excitement will grow when they start hanging the window panels etc. This one is strating to move fast.

Really? It seems like it's slowed down a lot since the first above-ground construction began.

Sorry to say they started putting up form work Friday that turns it into a normal ( no big vans ) entrance.

oh well, I'm not gonna cry about it. But when you say formwork, do you mean actual concrete ceilings that are parallel to the entrance ramp? or those yellow height indicators that tell you what the height of the lowest points on the ceiling will be once you enter the main garage

All I saw was a bunch of scaffolding, looked pretty substantial - I'll look more closely tomorrow.

Hey the wood for the concrete pouring looks level all the way across (that's done so far.) Does that mean this is an actual floor and the parking is done?

Yes! This means that they are done with the parking structure and are moving into the regular floors which should move even faster due to the fact that they don't need to hold up as much weight (at least I think they don't maybe I'm being naive) and aren't sloped.
