I havent been to NYC in YEARS, but have loved keeping up with the WTC progress here with all the pics!!! We were down in FL last week on vacation and missed our flight from FL back to Cleveland. So we ened up having to purchase a new flight on another airline and wouldnt you know it that flight had a connection thru Laguardia.

I snapped this pic with my phone as we were heading in to land. I know its a pic from a plane and a pic using my phone, but it's the only pic I've been able to take of the WTC, so I figured that I'd post it here.

I hope that the lights will be lighted every night until the 6 AM like the Chrysler.

It seems the mechanical floors will be lit dusk to dawn.

Any updates on how the offices are coming along? I'm just anxious to see those Conde Nast workers coming in and out of the building. That'll be the real sign of life

They start moving in/working there sometime in November and are phasing all 2,500 employees between Nov. -Jan/Feb. 2015 is going to be the most exciting year in a while for the complex. This and Tower 4 will welcome office workers back, Tower 3 will be rising, the transit hub will most likely and hopefully open by the end of next year, and Liberty Park. Ah!

That is a great shot. The sheer density and beauty not to mention the perfect visibility for such a shot. Bravo!!!

I can't wait to see that same perspective once all the the supertalls are finished by 2020. I can see myself spending hundreds on observation decks because I never get bored of this city. Its like crack for some reason.
This definitely came from Time magazine's panorama from the top of the spire. You can see the whole interactive thing here:

You can zoom in and take a screen shot or order fancy prints from their website.

Wow, this tower looks amazing at night, very sci-fi/industrial looking!

Also, those mechanical floors will be dusk to dawn.

^^How much earlier does onewtc turn off the lighting on the spiretenna compared to buildings in midtown like ESB? Is this Durst trying to save money or will it change when the building's completely done?

Great lightning photo. Hopefully when the lighting is revealed, they will light the rings as well. The whole thing is off without it, there's no connection.
