Speaking of Osborne Village, is the Gas Station Theatre project dead?

I agree it's quite the change, though I would add that chain stores are not new to Osborne. The biggest draw in the neighbourhood is a large Safeway, then there's Shoppers Drug Mart, Starbucks, A&W etc., and does anyone remember when KFC was located at Osborne and Gertrude?
As mentioned on this thread before, Osborne hasn't been the Most Interesting Street in Winnipeg for quite some time, so some degree of blandness is expected. At least with Tim Horton's (rather than many other omnipresent chain), they are open all the time and draw a bunch of pedestrian traffic.
Last I heard, some months ago now, the Gas Station project isn't entirely dead, but obviously not moving very fast. Who knows.
