Yeah, the Tribune is definitely a solid Neo-Gothic design.

The old Las Vegas High School is probably the best surviving example of Art Deco in Las Vegas.

We are making some Art Moderne additions to the skyline though...

great thread, Art Deco is definitely my favorite type of architecture.

I really like the first pics you showed of that building in Chicago. It reminds me alot of the Radiator Building in NYC:

I was really surprised by the amount of deco in LA the first time I went. Very nice examples, and it's definatly my favorite style of architecture.

Pittsburgh's two most prominent examples of art-deco are side-by-side downtown...

Gulf at left (582 ft.) and Koppers at right (475 ft)

Fort Worth's Art Deco Treasures:

Texas & Pacific Railway Terminal:

The T&P's nearby warehouse:

The Sinclair Building:

The Courtyard By Marriott Blackstone Hotel:

Masonic Temple:

Lone Star Gas:

Public Safety and Courts Building:

The Commerce Building:

Historic Electric Building Apartments and inside is a mothballed Art Deco Theater:

U.S. Courthouse:

Western Union:

The Petroleum Building (currently being restored)

Central Fire Station:

A few years later, in 1936, the same architect designed the Will Rogers Memorial Center which featured a coliseum, an auditorium, and an ornamental tower. The coliseum was the first arched steel truss domed building built in the U.S. This building is the forerunner to our domed arenas and stadiums.

I've only posted the most notable structures. There actually are many more throughout the city.

this is really LA's chance to shine. Los Angeles was THE place to be in the 30s, so saw a lot more construction during that time than many other cities.

Really appreciate the Detroit pics too, especially the Guardian and Fisher buildings.

Yes, I think I put it under the Guardian Building label, too, though.

The Guardian Building's retail arcade:

An elevator bank

Crown

Entrance on Griswold

They call this "Aztec Deco."

Deco was a popular style in Ohio. Mayday posts some good ones.

Here is another one from Cincinnati, but it was not a skyscraper.

..a sample of the interior:
