Proposal for a New Form of Observation Tower

A group of Danish architects and engineers have come up with the concept of a new form of observation tower between 200 and 500 feet tall with cabins going up the tower. Each cabin would hold up to 12 people and there would be anywhere between 4 and 16 cabins depending on the height. Places where such a tower could be built include Rome, Muscat, Chennai, Sharm el Sheikh, Charleston (South Carolina), Lucerne, and Casablanca.

Suggestion for Such a Tower in Rome

Rome is a city that is very popular with tourists and I feel could use a mass marketing observation point for tourists to look out over the skyline and surrounding area. A 400 to 500 foot tall observation tower using the Spiral Tower concept should be built in Rome as it would be a unique attraction for Rome. It would have passenger cabins spiraling up and down the green facade with solar panels and a windmill at the top. Such an attraction could have 16 cabins, each holding up to 12 passengers and this could lead to 3 million visitors a year. It would become an iconic landmark in the same way and serve the same purpose as the Eiffel Tower for Paris, London Eye for London, or the Empire State Building for New York City. Rome should definitely have The Spiral Tower but and the first one of it's kind. https://www.timeout.com/news/this-ec...ur-city-071520
