Makes me wonder how site prep is going for CODA and the standard
I don't think CODA is going vertical for a few months. Maybe the apartments across the street?

I'd been wondering how long that empty lot was going to remain empty. Townhomes would seem to be a good fit for that location.

I feel like a very significant project is about to be announced for Midtown/Downtown.

Do you have anything to substantiate this feeling, or is it just hopeful enthusiasm?

I'm really excited about 1105 W. Peachtree. It's probably the most notable project in Midtown to have a good chance of being built this dev cycle.

There goes one of my tailgating spots.

BUT it'll be good for the neighborhood. Glad they are pushing to have it done by the Super Bowl.

Since the surprise Super Bowl run and the two weeks of free Atlanta advertising world wide, I think for those drawn to Atlanta the first time should spark some new investors interest in building here. Therefore, hopeful enthusiasm! Although the AIG and 50 Allen tower would be awesome.

I have a friend who works at positive impact which I believe is the last remaining business on that block she told me they will be moving out in May to a new location in downtown Decatur so all indication seems to suggest that this project definitely will get built

The area was fenced off yesterday! There was a lot of dome construction parking going on there, wonder where they're going to park going forward.

Is the Hard Rock going to have a music venue in it like most of the others?

Looks like it.

The glitzy property will include a heated outdoor pool, rooftop “oasis,” several live music venues, and oodles of memorabilia. “Our common goal is to build a legendary music and entertainment hotel for the local residents of Castleberry Hill and all the fans of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Hawks,” said Todd Hricko, head of U.S. hotel development.

Did this Gables project ever get off the ground? They did some demo but I'm not sure they ever started construction.

It's definitely under construction and a crane has been up over a month. I will try and get pics later this week.

Academy of Medicine Building at WP & 7th Corner

Seeing the Academy of Medicine Building in this photo, anyone know the expected outcome (and timetable) of the extensive front lawn landscaping now underway at West Peachtree & 7th St ?

I know they initially wanted a fence or at least a gate to protect their front lawn from becoming an open dog park but I believe Midtown DRC shot that down. perhaps City of Atlanta approved a compromise.

Thank you
