I had some business downtown this morning so I drove down 281 while the sun was rising in the East. It was so cool that the sun disappeared for a couple of seconds while I drove past these buildings. The canyon effect will only get better when the W finally goes up.
I was at the Pearl over the weekend and walked by these; I think they're going to be a fantastic addition to the area. The street interaction, particularly on Pearl Parkway, is going to make a huge impact.
We may not have the market/industries for 50 floor skyscrapers, but I'd be happy if we covered the urban core with dense, 5 to 15 floor developments like these.
Found this time lapse video of the construction site on the Joeris youtube page. There's some other videos of this site as well. Someone feel free to post the actual video on here for simpler viewing since I don't know how to post the entire video on the forum, or perhaps it's not working properly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54t7rDbaDws
I was down there Friday night servicing an elevator across the street and can't get over the changes coming to Broadway. It is very exciting. I hope and wonder if they will slowly be able to move/relocate or remove some of the power lines as they slowly develop further down the road as well.
