love the Toronto reference library!

For LA, I'd say the interior of the Biltmore Hotel downtown:

For Cincinnati, I'd definitely go with Union Terminal:

Are you sure that's not the Sedgewick Hotel in New York, whose twelfth floor is reportedly haunted by the ghost of John Belushi?

I ask because it's hard to think of a more iconic hotel, whose trappings have pretty much come to define the notion of hotel luxury as Hollywood sees it. The Biltmore is one of those places that has transcended itself and reached a sort of architectural Nirvana.

here are two hotels I've stayed at that are worthy of this thread.

1 - the Pfister (giggity) hotel in Milwaukee:

2 - the Palmer House in Chicago:

A pretty contentious statement; the main concourse is great, but a recurring theme across North America’s major stations is the substandard nature of their platform environment. GCT’s platforms frankly come across as unfinished unpleasant environments. Contrast that with the major stations of Europe with their light-filled voluminous environments which generally have a good consistency throughout, from walking off the train right through to leaving the station.

Not sure where you’d start in London with its plethora of castles, palaces, stations, stately homes, livery halls, museums, market halls, libraries, cathedrals, etc…

Not to mention pubs (and clubs)! Neither is particularly my thing, but there are plenty of nice ones. This bar sits in what used to be a church, but Jesus said man cannot live by bread alone, so they turned it into a foodie market:

Here are a few of my other favorites.

Leighton House in Holland Park, designed by the eccentric lord and Pre-Raphaelite painter. Now a museum:

Maughan Library (formerly the Public Record Office), where I've unfortunately spent far too much time:

London Aquatics Centre, designed by Zaha. Anybody can swim here for a fiver:

The Conservatory at the Barbican. It's built around the tower that houses stage machinery for the National Shakespeare Theatre which sits beneath it -- the architects roofed the whole area in glass and made it one of London's nicest parks.

And one place I'd really like to go inside:

Thought of another each for Cincinnati

Isaac Wise Temple. Named for Isaac Wise, father of Reform Judaism, which was born in Cincinnati.

That's the nicest gym I've ever seen. Hope they have some good bumper pads or else someone dropping the the deadlift bar is going to resonate throughout the entire building.

We're a modest, little city.

My favourite interiors are...

Roman Catholic Basilica of St. John the Baptist (the inspiration for St. Pat's in NYC; their Bishop came to our consecration and was embarrassed we had a better church lol There's an actual Roman Catholic religious document in the Vatican that describes us, in his words, as "a few thousand fishermen" imploring the Pope for funds for NYC to raise a grander church):

Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist:

I also love the interior of all the businesses downtown, squeezed into our little old buildings. They were rocking the brick wall, exposed everything decades before it was cool. This one is Adelaide Oyster House:

Yellowbelly Brewery:

Rocket Bakery, the most comforting:

And The Rooms, our gallery/museum/archives:
