Question for you forumers:

Do you think our Sketchup cities should be in the same realm as real cities? For example, look at all of the cities in SoCal. Add Los Angeles and San Diego to that. It just be one huge city! So should there be such instances where real cities don't exist, and the sketchup city is the "replacement", if you will?

Just a thought, curious to hear your answer

Anthony

I know how to post threads. How do I get it from SketchUp to SSP?

Oh, it won't be a teaser, it's bad. It's literally a grey slab.

I think he is suggesting a unique "new" country.

I posted a thread too. Nothing is in it yet.

I think they all exist together. Some cities have histories that intertwine with real cities. Also, Staunton's been referred to as a sister city to New York.

The map you made is awesome, BoiseAirport, and you got my city's location in the exact location.

I was born in Connecticut. It sounds like it's going to be a nice city.

I think some peoples are replacements and others are not. Mine replaces a real small city because the location I chose. So if you think about it, doesn't everyone's replace something, even if it's just a small rural town? But I think your meaning on a whole different level, like, you said, all those Cali cities are like one huge metropolis. I guess it's up to the creators to decide.

Well Oceanside dosnt exist anymore, and I dont think Sun City dose eather.

And Staunton, New Jersey's Universe, the world's exactly the same, but with Staunton's history added and stuff. Also, the only other sketchup cities that exist in the same world as Staunton is Palm Dunes and City City.

There really should be two different maps. One that is simply for keeping a record of all SketchUp cities ever made (like the one posted) and another for current cities only or for the ones that coexist in like an official SketchUp world.

Good point, Peter. I'll look into making another map for current cities only. Thanks guys for your feedback! I really appreciate it!

Anthony

(Update on map soon for Argyle and Trinity City)
