Any excuse for another picture of the Richfield Building. This Dick Whittington shot is labeled 1929, which is around the time the building was completed. The panels above and below the windows look lighter than in later shots. I'm not sure whether it's the lighting or if they were darkened sometime afterward.

The first floor is still boarded up in the photo. The advertisements say "Stores & Building For Rent". The real estate agent handling the property is Joe Toplitzky at 205-9 H. W. Hellman Bldg. -
GW posted some info about Joe Toplitzky
here. It looks like the hoardings included some fancy embellishments, possibly echoing details of higher floors. The second floor also seems more elaborately decorated than in later images.
