I'd say in mid-July they should start the condo floors, if not sooner.

So that area is shaping up nicely.

Anyone know the name of this building? I'd like to add it to San Antonio's list at Emporis.

It's a San Antonio Housing Authority (SAHA) Property called the W.C. White Apartments. It's been there since the mid 70's, as a pretty bland, white box of a building that was exclusively a 'senior' development. (for senior citizens). By the late 90's it had really showed its age, and wasn't up to code anymore (no sprinklers, etc) and there was asbestos I believe. It sat empty from about 98/99 till now. SAHA always had the intent to remodel it, but as always, lacked the funds. Guess they were able to tuck enough cash aside to finally fix it up. I know from their publications that it is soon to rejoin the public housing stock, now that renovations are almost complete. I don't know if it will be a senior development exclusively, or some mix of family and senior development. The info wasn't that specific.

If someone wants to track down more info for it, I'd start off at www.saha.org - then go to publications and start wading through all the info there for date built, height, etc.

That blue building looks to be on the park site in front of the Frost Bank building. That same site happens to be owned by Frost Bank. A new HQ perhaps!? Andres, the low-rise complex that looks to be at Durango, is that perhaps the development where the Aloft is planned at. That if the Aloft 14 story on Houston St. goes that that would be built on SoFlo instead? Looks like a big project!

This would almost be too good to be true. What are the 2 buildings just to the right of the Tower Life bldg. One looks to be about 500'-550' and the other about 375'-400'. The skyline would look so awesome.

Okay very nice, but i do have a concern. I would hope they wouldnt totally build over the park that sits rite to the north of the current frost bank location. They still have that nice size of land were the motor bank is at, that they could use. Depending on whos going to build there. Other then that the model is very pormising, would be very nice see to some new height to the DT area...

Gah, I'm pulling my hair out man. Details, details! I want details...about those new buildings.

That blue building looks to be around 350 to 375 feet. Those other two that NBTX11 pointed out are quite interesting.

You can see the currently under construction Courtyard next to the Holiday Inn building, and whatever is where the Piazza site is looks to be as tall or taller than the 17 story Courtyard.

Well, now, sirkingwilliam, that's not the best way of measuring building heights. I am fairly certain that that building is well over 500 feet tall, though. One thing I noticed is that Weston Centre actually looks too short there. Compare it to Bank of America Plaza to the right. It appears to be only about level with it, when infact it's almost 60 feet taller.

That is true, it's not the best way to compare heights but I believe in this example it's appropriate because of how close the buildings are. The smaller of the two unknown buidings is about 550 feet away from the Weston building. The larger of the two doesn't seem to be too far from the smaller and it seems to be 150-220 feet taller than the Weston, which would put it at about 550-700 feet. As for the Weston and BoA building, you can tell there is a gap between the heights. The distance between the two is 550 feet as well.

In this picture you can see the 14 story Aloft (?), 17 story Courtyard and the 27 story W.
