Love your vision...
Thanks. I'll give that a shot. I was half inspired by the Hudson yards project in new York and half by the area around union station in toronto. Now all I need is a crap ton of money.

I think if all of us on here had millions at our disposal, our downtown would be the envy of many, many cities.

It's too bad the visionaries don't often see their visions brought to life. I'd love to see emphasis really placed on the waterfront and encourage people to spend more time by the river. I have traveled extensively and the best cities always have a solid waterfront component and I just see so much potential here.

Exactly. Point Douglas can become an amazing neighborhood, from the Louise Bridge to Main Street. Milwaukee is amazing in terms of its downtown and taking advantage of the Milwaukee River. Even OK City with its man-made canal is amazing.

I want to see the river walk raised and duplicated on the Osborne side, with a couple pedestrian crossings and some kiosks and store fronts along it. Kind of like Chicago or San Antonio.

this angle with all of the proposals gives a very convincing illusion of density, and 300 main just goes perfectly in with the rest.

A real picture like this on an overcast day in the future would have to be one of my favorites.

I also heard that D condo has a tower crane up, and it will be a beauty if this is what is getting built.

Yes indeed that would be very cool - first thing is to make the existing one operational on a secure basis. In Paris currently, and the mayor here has been really pushing to take back the river fronts for pedestrians, etc.

I put all the newer buildings side by side that are either proposed or under construction. Added ALT Hotel in there just to put things in perspective.

For all the buildings: http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=72380816

Big props to Triton for all these drawings. Keep it up.

I'm curious how the Sutton place hotel would measure up height wise to the other true north square buildings.

I'm drawing a blank on the Scotiabank tower. Can someone remind me where this is being built again?

Wasn't there discussion in the centre point thread how glasshouse is shorter than Alt?

Fantastic work otherwise, Triton

Looks great.

One minor critique - Alt is shown significantly shorter than Glasshouse.

In reality, Alt is slightly taller than Glasshouse.

The Alt Hotel official height is 172,500 mm (grade is 100,000 mm) or 237.86 ft.

I am working on Glasshouse.

Tower 2 and Sutton Place Hotel (tower 3) are both proposed to be 27 stories. I would suspect the hotel and the residential tower 2 will be very similar in height. Some around 100m.

Also, Triton you're doing awesome work! Keep it up!

Question. Are the 300 Main and TNS towers .kmz files available for download? I'd like to pop them in google earth to check out all the views. Also, are there any updated versions of SkyCity, etc. I downloaded a bunch of them a year ago.

Is Sutton Place a sure thing? They were kind of noncommittal about it at the TNS announcement... has there been any progress on it since then?
