You know, I’ve been thinking about Taco Bell a bit lately, and I realize how much I WANT ONE TO OPEN HERE. THERE IS NO REASON FOR ONE NOT TO OPEN AND I’VE BEEN WAITING YEARS FOR IT TO ARRIVE. The day Taco Bell opens is the day I can die peacefully.

With the population explosion in Charlottetown, this would be a good time to do it. Also, It is finally sinking in that Stratford is a good place to open as it is really virgin territory for fast food. Dominos just opened there. Shopper Drug Mart, albeit not a fast food joint, seen the necessity to the area. With nearly 11,000 people and growing exponentially, and soon in the future at that rate, (13.2% in the last census) it will surpass Sumnerside as the islands second largest community and will need all the amenities to boot.
If Taco Bell comes, and I'm sure it will, it will be all good as others will come too.

On Kensington Rd, not really near the corner of Exhibition Dr but up farther on the right just past Chandler motor repair.

New proposal for a 43 unit, 5 storey apartment building at King and Dorchester Streets. 4 lots need to be consolidated for this project.

King and Dorchester run parallel to each other almost the whole width of downtown... Any idea where exactly?

It'd be easier to fill rooms as a hotel at $189.00 /day than rent them out at $1400+ /month. I still think it should be a hotel. Look at Hampton Inn in Charlottetown. The place is full every night.
I realize there is supposed to be affordable housing but that is only, what, 30% of the units. $1400+ /month for the rest. They may have trouble filling the rest at that rent. Maybe not, we'll see.

Make it 9-10 storeys with condos on top 4 floors. It's all in the view that sells condos.

The apartment is only one part of the overall plan. They're going to revitalise the Queen, King, Dorchester block.

Yes it is.
Not sure if I like the design that much, but it's nice that it ties the whole block together.

I agree on this project. That corner is perfect for development.
I still think the city should allow another 5 floors on the apartment building making it 10 floors. They would sell/rent. More people downtown the better!!

That looks really nice. That area needs some new life. It would be nice if the developer would take advantage of the public right of way behind the Queen Street lots and turn that into a mini pedestrian mall. The businesses could have access from Queen and the right of way.

Remember the old house on Hillsborough St. that was in the news in Charlottetown that had century old timber in it. Debate insued about its future. It was finally purchased; look at it now.

Its' too bad they weren't able to show off the exterior log walls on this building.
