Retail Tenants

During my recent hardhat tour, our tour guide mentioned that the retail space facing the new San Pedro Creek will be a fitness center. I can't recall if he mentioned an in house (Frost Bank) wellness center or a typical national chain such as Gold's Gym or Anytime Fitness would be setting up shop in that entire space.

Also, if you look closely in the web cam, you can see the disassembled pieces of what will eventually be the crown of the building. He described them being assembled on the ground then hoisted up and placed into position.

Where are these disassembled pieces? I don't see anything.

I see something that looks like one on top of the garage on the right side close to the building.

With Class A office space, wouldn’t it more likely be “high end” retail tenants?

The glass on this thing is nuts. Besides the crown lit, it's going to be reflecting the city back at you at night.

Especially if you're in one of the higher floors of a nearby building, because of the angle. From the ground it will get more of the sky and upper floors of buildings than if the glass walls were straight up and down.

I have to say, the proportions of the building are actually looking better than I expected, at least on the webcam.

Yes. They're currently working on the 23rd floor. There is one more floor above that, then the crown. So what we see now is the second lighted floor from the top in this rendering (the one with the little man looking out the center window).

If you don't count a 13th floor, then I think they're actually about to finish the 24th floor. I thought that where the glass facade begins at the bottom, that is floor 2, then it counts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, ....

Then, they have to lay the ceiling above that, as well as well as utility/maintenance floors.
