WOW! Amazing thread. Damn San Antonio looks good there. I love how downtown San Antonio is full of all these great little urban cubbies.

The place feels so cozy!

Great shots..... cool..... I was just there this weekend! Thanks for the photo essay. Stayed on the riverwalk overnight.... saw a show at the Majestic. (Beautiful!) I am loveing that downtown more and more. It is amazing how much opportunity there is there in the downtown area still. I can't believe how many empty store fronts there are! Can't say it enough.... some great opportunity! I have stayed downtown there two weekends recently and took Sunday AM walks (ok, hungover, mind you!) ...and had a great time exploring. Love the texture in the "urban core".

I wonder if the Hyatt will fit in this picture height-wise when complete? NOT including the mechanical portion.

Actually it won't fit...The Condo floors although there is 9 is equal to about how tall the first 4 floors are...So double that then add 22 hotel floors on top...Theres no way it will fit in the pic...Even if the hotel floors are 7 feet tall....It'll probably end around 50 feet or so above the top of that pic. INcluding mechanical housing.

No way man. There's no way it would fit in that shot. The building with the mechanical penthouse will probably end up being twice as tall as the tower cranes are currently.

Beautiful pics of Downtown San Antonio

Thanks for the terrific images of downtown. I had no idea there were so many aspects and layers to the downtown area. I guess it takes a talented photographer to notice all of these things. It makes me proud to know as a native San Antonian that we have such a wonderful and dynamic downtown area. You really get a sense of the history and also the future of the downtown area when you view these pictures.
