When that finally goes to receivership (in, like, 2035) it looks like it could feasibly support two big ole towers. It looks larger than a standard half block.

I think 56 East is most likely to get a sort of Skyhouse Plus, something not super tall but jampacked with residential units. It definitely is large enough to support more, though, and development here always seems to have surprises lurking.

Gonna be the Tres Amigos of mediocracy. There could be 4 someday. All three hotel proposals for the lot directly south of the Cambria fell through, and it's available for development as far as I know.

You've taken a lot of great pics! Was great to see this one from height -- it reaches back into the lot a lot further than the Van Halen Suites. It explains the amount of shade it casts on Rainey, which is more than I had anticipated.

Hard to see from this angle, but the Cambria's up to about two stories now, too.

John Mayer or someone similarly bland.

Not a great capture but this has lighting on the backside that changes colors, there may be more going on up front.

Driving past the other night, this had some very Dallas-esque (in a good way) lighting going up each edge of the building. Essentially just like the Bank of America Plaza in Dallas, except blue...and much smaller. Either way, it's much better lighting than I expected on a hotel like this and makes a nice addition to the nighttime look of the area.
