I live around the corner from AMD. Can't wait to see this formally presented. They teased a new metra station a while back at that site. Would love to see it happen. My neighbors will try to NIMBY the hell out of both the height and the train station, but fingers crossed Burnett does what he does and approves it.

New construction permit was issued the other day for 444 N LaSalle for a 13 story office building with ground floor retail. Not sure if that is on the Illinois side or the Hubbard side, but good to see it could start soon. Goodbye to another surface parking lot.

River North developer forges ahead with 30-story office plan Friedman Properties has revamped its plan for a building in the neighborhood, hoping to tap into the flood of companies adding space downtown.
The developer who named and transformed River North hopes to bring to life an office project he's been eyeing there while the job market is still humming.
Jump-starting a plan he unveiled almost three years ago, Albert Friedman has hired Cushman & Wakefield to lease a 674,000-square-foot office building his firm aims to develop at 450 N. Dearborn St.
The proposed 30-story structure, dubbed the Rivere in reference to a historic hotel that once operated on the block, would rise at the corner of Dearborn and Illinois streets and include a rebuilt Engine Co. 42 fire station on part of its ground floor, replacing the existing one at 55 W. Illinois St.

I think it was rgarri that shared the website recently, but there is now a video up there now too that is worth looking at. It is a bit of a Friedman puff piece, but also shows the building exterior and interiors in a rather (atypically) thorough manner.
Friedman also envisions turning the property into the centerpiece of a three-block "network of pedestrian thoroughfares" he is calling "the Mews" running along alleys from Grand Avenue to Kinzie Street, according to a Cushman marketing flyer. The alleys, which include popular neighborhood spots like Three Dots and a Dash and Ramen-San, would "encourage exploration and provide access to food and beverage experiences utilizing upgraded landscaping, paving, lighting and public art," Cushman said in a statement.
Coming 2023. Dramatic redesign. Love the high doors on the floor level. The trees at the top are a bit much, but whatever. Overall that website is an add for my neighborhood living 1 block away. This will impact my view a bit so I'm in no hurry.
