Let's Protest!

Well as many of you know, the beautiful city that I live in is about to be overrun by truckers (and others) demonstrating the mandatory vaccine mandates.
It's going to break the longest convoy world record if it hasn't already, and by al accounts this is a huge. This inspired me to start this thread.

I just want to make one thing clear. I'm not making light of violence or casualties during demonstrations or protests, and I hope that this rally will be a peaceful one. Having said that, what are some your city's most famous protests or demonstrations? Hopefully the one you list didn't end in violence or casualties, but if it did, think of it as a way to honour those who may of fallen. Even silly ones can be mentioned.

Please . No politics!

Now we just need a few BLM flags, or some Stop The Steal ones.

I can’t think of any massive organized protests other than the blm stuff that happened in 2020 where downtown got smashed up.

There was some minor rioting and such when they G8 came to Pittsburgh, I wasn’t here, think that was in 2011 or so, not quite sure.

There were protests and riots in 68, like there was in every major city.

Hard to keep politics out of it because a lot of protests are political in nature.

American History today. One Our cities protests. This one helped establish an 8 hour workday

And May Day. May 1st.

Than of course the Dem 1968 convention

More power to the truckers for going against an authoritarian government. Hope they’re successful.
