Although it doesn't look like the pour happened over the weekend, activity is back. It seems to me that the activity and employee count is still on the low end though compared to my observations of the site a month or two ago.

^^Your picture is great for what it shows and thank you for it, but what it shows is the Mission St. tower which is not where the pour was supposed to happen. The pour was supposed to happen at the bottom of the hole on 1st St, only the upper part of which hole can be seen in this view.

I was hoping somebody was in the area over the weekend to tell us if there actually was or wasn't a line of concrete trucks as there would be for such an event.

This photo does show something important, though. It shows how close to street level they now are with the Mission St tower and that the below ground levels of THAT are basically done--looks like one to go. It is basically a great vantage point to watch the Mission St. tower go up but not so great for the 1st St tower.

So keep 'em coming . . . please.

I saw no activity this weekend having walked past at least twice.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they attempt to finish the mission tower first since they already have the Waldorf Astoria signed on. Seems like they’re still looking at potential leases for their main 910 foot tower and I can see that delaying the construction.

As I understood it Salesforce had leased all or a significant portion of the building?
Was that a rumor? Or am I wrong?
If this is indeed true will make construction imminent.

I believe that lease was reported as under negotiation but not finalized.

I have emailed Blanca Torres, the SF BizTimes commercial real estate reporter asking what she knows about this project. We'll see if she responds and what she says.

Here is a zoomed in photo from today, 10/1/2019 showing the rebar where the last concrete pour was expected last weekend. I do see workers working in the hole on the rebar, so perhaps they are prepping for that pour to happen this weekend.

If they are going to be working 24 hours as this update says, that may explain the several days with little or no activity. I doubt they have more than one shift working so if they are going to have them working at night as well as in the daytime, they probably had to give them comopensatory time off.

"Massive" . . . maybe not, but two pumpers and a 12+ hour effort is significant and, at the very least, it puts to rest the idea that the project is on some kind of hold.

Looking at the earlier photo of the rebar down in the hole, this amount of pouring effort is consistent. As was previously noted, they are apparently doing the foundation pad in 3 sections. I believe this is #2. In other words, with the Mission St tower foundation complete and the 1st St tower foundation now ⅔ complete, we approaching the time when we'll be able to see real progress at street level.

Tower Crane

Is there a third tower crane going on site or they will use two cranes?

10/9/2019:

It's a bit hard to see because it's so dark in the hole (and the crane stump is also black), but I see the stump of the second Cornell Crane being built up right now. Look very closely and you can see it.

You basically have a premium view of this development Smashing Alligator. I can't wait to see more!

If only I still worked in San Francisco then I would get a good angle from around Salesforce

The fact that this requires two of those cranes shows how much of a beast it's going to be
