My thoughts exactly haha. Looks kind of tacky in my opinion, which is a real shame because the rest of the tower is actually pretty nice.

I actually like it. It's kind of an odd feature but is very unique and applies a different take on a modern building.

I just want to know what a "Swexan" is. It is a southwestern Texan? A swanky Texan? A swearing Texan? Sweater-wearing Texan? These are questions I need answers to.

Ahhhhhh, I was way off. Still prefer the Swanky Texan, but the Swiss are pretty neutral, so they'll do...

Uptown Dallas' next big development will have office, residential and hotel towers
Steve Browm

https://www.dallasnews.com/business/...l-hotel-towers

Quote:
Minnesota-based developer Ryan Cos. is teaming up with Dallas architect GFF and Greenway Investments to build the office, residential, hotel and retail buildings.
Quote:
The 4-acre project includes architect GFF's existing building on Fairmount Street. The remainder of the block will be redeveloped with an 18-story office tower, a 22-story residential high-rise, a luxury hotel and retail space.
Quote:
Plans call for the office tower to be built on Cedar Springs at Routh, with the residential building to the east across from the Quadrangle. A high-rise hotel would occupy the corner of Cedar Springs and Fairmount, next door to GFF's building.

This looks like something that should be attached to the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Aside from an existing office building, it's mostly parking lots with a row of bars and other businesses in single story buildings facing Cedar Springs. This will definitely be an improvement.

An interesting NCTCOG stat - 79% of all new housing in the city of Dallas is multifamily.

A quick update on some of the new Exxir developments in Bishop Arts/Oak Cliff. The first phase of tenants are in the process of opening. The developer promised excellence and they seem to be delivering.
