SAN FRANCISCO | 390 First St ("Modera") | 14 FL | Approx. 140 FT

Quote:
390 First Street is a 14-story, 180 unit apartment community that sits at a key hilltop intersection in the Rincon Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. The project, along with the Sailors’ Union of the Pacific building across First Street, bookends a major departure gateway from San Francisco to the Bay Bridge. Like the Sailors’ Union, the building massing is composed of an assemblage of discrete masses. The stepped 5 to 7 story podium fronting Lansing, Harrison and First Streets is clad in precast concrete, again in acknowledgement of the Sailors’ Union. It employs projecting bay windows, a cornice, and deeply inset openings. The light and glassy 14 story tower faces First Street, a section of it extending to ground and incorporating the main entry. The Lansing Street frontage faces the narrow pedestrian/auto “shared street,” with a smaller scale residential focus employing townhouse-style stoops in a manner sympathetic to traditional San Francisco residential architecture.

I'm afraid that isn't how this site works if I understand what you are asking.

Generally, projects that qualify as "highrise" or "supertall" (12 floors or 115 ft in height) can have a thread in the "proposals" section when proposed and until they begin erecting something--that usually means until the excavation is done and they pour the foundation mat or some other portion of the structure. At that point, a mod is supposed to move them to the "Construction" section (but usually has to be asked and there a thread for doing that).

The general "compilations" section usually ends up being the home of projects that don't qualify as "highrise" and for new projects when they are initially proposed and until they are approved.

This 390 First project probably should have had a thread already and I'm surprised it didn't--at least a search didn't reveal one to me--because there have been earlier posts about it but I guess no one bothered to make one which is why I did.

Looks like it on the renderings. But since ORH and the other buildings right at that 1st/Harrison intersection don't and with plenty of people now living in those buildings, seems to me it would be a nice place for a Starbuck's or Peet's.
