Lol, yea if they only have 4 construction workers to build that highrise, all 4 of them better be on top of their game.

I quickly drove by this one after dark last night, and it looked like they may have started working on the 3rd floor on part of it.

Oh wow, it's finally above ground. Maybe we will see it rise more quickly now. I was beginning to think the Independent would be completed before this.

This is basically a point tower. Just going y the footprint it doesn't seem any larger than Spring.

I didn't bother to check and see if this was posted before, but it's from the project's pdf marketing brochure:

I love this. Not only because it shows us 5th and West in context, but because so much of that picture will be different when 5th and West tops out.

Shoal Creek Walk
The Independent
Austin Proper
3rd and Shoal
Hotel ZaZa

... all of them finished or well on their way in the next couple of years.

Kind stunning, actually.

Agreed. This is such a sexy tower! Can't wait to see it top out/complete.

Also, don't forget Shoal Creek Walk which would be in the foreground of that photo. It obviously won't have the skyline impact of the other towers you mentioned at 208' but will definitely impact the view from the West.

I got ahead of myself. Shoal Creek Walk was the first one you listed. My bad...

There was another rendering of how the building would look on the skyline from the south, but part of it was cut off by some other graphics.

I found the full rendering without the graphics.

I found it on the Shoal Creek on the Shoal Creek Conservancy's website here

If you go to that page, click on the iname and then a bigger version comes up. Then, right click on that bigger image and choose "view" image and a really big version (5000 X 2409) version comes up.

Here's a cropped version I made from the bigger image with 5th & West on the far left.
