The electrical power for the crane was supposed to be on-line soon but they've now asked for another week so the crane might not be up for 2 more weeks.

Now if we triangulate we'll know where you live.

When the city shows Graham closed around Main for 3 years then we'll know the crane is going up.

Any news on who the general contractor is? I know there have been a few delays and some changes in the bids that were submitted. Wondering if anyone knows anything about what has been decided.

Marwest Construction is the Construction Manager. Bockstael Construction will be building the concrete building core.

Interesting. I would imagine they are still deciding who is doing other stuff like the steel work, electrical, carpentry etc?

Everything has been tendered. Just working to approve specific contracts.

I think it's safe to say that all of us in here are very anxious to see a crane go up at 300 Main. I mean, apart from that crane at CMHR, we're at a crane withdrawal since they took down the crane at TNS, and we want more!!!!

The second TD sign compliments the existing one.

Also, the green on blue is kind of growing on me too.

Most major work is probably sorted out, ie steel because of required production lead times.

Things like flooring and finishes might be awarded, but obviously have way more flexibility going forward due to later installation.

I thought the second TD sign was also off centre, but also lower than the first TD sign lol.

I wonder who the "you had ONE JOB" guy is in this scenario haha!

Well I kinda know about the millwork/cabinet bids that were tendered, which is why I'm asking.

I don't think anything has been awarded on that front yet.

Have the lane closure requirements been revealed for this build? I was assuming this would only close one WB lane on Graham at most, given that True North Square rarely closed any lanes on Graham. With how poorly Transit is able to manage any constriction of their main east-west downtown bus route, I should start training to replace my bus commute with my bike now if a full Graham closure is required.

There's no way Graham will be closed for buses for 3 years. They may close the curb lane between Main and Fort (there's 4 lanes on Graham here), and restrict public vehicles from using that stretch.

Other than that they'll have temp closures like they did for TNS.

Sorry, I didn't mean to say Graham would be closed (even though that's what I wrote) , just the one lane will be closed as that is where the crane goes if the work previously done there was for the crane. They tested the ground right in the middle of that stretch of the curb lane last year. And cars will have to go the long way on Main to St. Mary's and then back N on Fort.
