That building is ridiculous in all the best ways. If I still lived in St. Louis I'd be looking at that from the living room window.

Boots? There's snow in the forecast this week.

You are too kind. I actually live in Regina, Saskatchewan.

I've lived in Edmonton, Winnipeg and Newfoundland as well. All nice spots. If economy works for you Edmonton is great with a better climate than Winnipeg (for me anyway.) Newfoundland is ridiculously unique. That was a lot of fun, but I don't miss snowmaggedon and the trail-ends of every hurricane hitting the Atlantic.

That's a pretty decent interpretation of classic schools for Washington U.

A beautiful modern collegiate gothic structure. I wasn't a big fan of WUSTL making new campus buildings in this ubiquitous design, but I am happy with the balance put forth recently by WUSTL when it comes to their new and remodeled structures.

This looks good and is prominent.

Thanks, ArchCity and IWant2BeInSTL for sharing my photos on Tatiana Bilba's project, Nash Building, and Clearendale. I have some project update photos I will share here from the past several days.

The MOFO Apartment project in Tower Grove South has been completed for a while now. All 26 apartment units are occupied and 2 retail spaces are leased. One retail space is occupied by RoadCrew Coffee and Cycles. The central retail space will be occupied by a fitness studio. Construction work in going on there.

The Artizen Townhomes at 4101 West Pine (West Pine and Sarah) in the Central West End, have their basements taking shape. There will be 13 homes in this development.

4210 Duncan, the newest office building in Cortex, has foundation work ongoing. A tower crane will be used here. A person I've spoken to says to expect he crane to be up on-site by Mid-May.

The Aloft Hotel in Cortex is nearly completed and is aiming for a July opening. Ths is the first hotel in the district. The connected restaurant just started construction with an outline of the first floor being visible.

At Duncan and Newstead, in Cortex, foundation drills have started on drilling the foundation piers for the 11-story BJC Neuroscience building. This will be the tallest building in Cortex upon completion.

In Debaliviere Place, a tower crane was erected today for the 7-story "The Chelsea" apartments. Pershing Avenue, the street the building is being built on, has been said to be the densest street in St. Louis. With the Expo at Forest Park (TOD Project) and "The Hudson" set to be built on the Western end of the street, I guess this claim holds true.

Here are some more photos of the Clarendale of Clayton crane. It's tall and thin. It doesn't look too stable.

In Clayton, the future site of Forsyth Point no longer has any buildings. 2 foundation drills have arrived. This is a massive project. 2 tower cranes are expected to be erected as part of this project.

These are some of the more major projects in St. Louis. There are others that I didn't get pictures of today. Despite the ongoing economic situation, we have enough projects financed that they'll get built. For some, they're are on hold due to not getting financed. I've spoken to multiple developers and for many, they all have the intention of moving forward just with slower construction timelines. Crane wise, St. Louis will have 7 or 8 cranes in the sky by the summer. Maybe more. That's without the One Hundred and One Cardinal Way cranes as those will come down very soon.

Some more update photos.

The One Hundred Facebook page shared these photos of the metal panels.

One Cardinal Way's crane will come down soon. First photo is from the Chouteau's Landing area. Second is from Strauss Park in Grand Center.

The Element Hotel on Forest Park Avenue had its crane come down recently. This hotel is next door to the SLU Campus. This should be a fairly popular hotel when it opens later this summer. It's not the best design but it's decent infill. It will also have ground floor retail space.
